The BRAIN Dialogues is a platform for open discussions and sharing of ideas.
The Bhutanese diaspora is devoid of an interactive space for a robust intellectual discourse and engagement. The BRAIN Dialogue has been initiated to address this deficiency. It shall serve as a platform for community engagement and discussions on critical issues affecting the Bhutanese Diaspora community. Interactive dialogues based on lived experiences, expertise and research shall be the cornerstone of this initiation.
Scheduled into monthly sessions, The BRAIN Dialogue shall be hosted from The BRAIN Studio, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Its invitees shall consist of thought leaders, scholars, experts, scientists, intellectuals, philosophers, academics, analysts and ideologues of our community. The BRAIN Dialogue provides them a space for coming together and engaging in meaningful, intellectually driven conversations. They will dissect the burning issues that affect them, look at their nuanced meanings, refine ideas, critique complex thematic issues; and provide analysis, transformative insights and clarity to complex issues.
The value of intellectual discourses in any society must never be undermined. Societies that do not embrace intellectualism descend into the whirlpool of gossip, ignorance, cognitive myopia and ultimately degenerate. On the other hand, societies that increase their intellectual capital through knowledge farming flourish proportionately. The greater the concentration of intellectuals, the greater the progress. The United States, Japan and China provide a clear testament to this correlation. Conversely, a society lacking intellectuals and intellectual discourses, is a society without a clear strength and direction.
The BRAIN Dialogue aims to nurture a culture of intellectualism within the Bhutanese Diaspora. The goal is to foster an informed, intellectually empowered and forward thinking community having a clear insight, clarity, purpose and vision.
This section will showcase our ongoing dialogues, discussions, and community engagement activities.
